Emily Bondus, Au.D., CCC-A
Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences and Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees from Purdue University. Since graduating with her Au.D. in 2008, she has been an Audiologist at ENT Associates where she is involved in adult and pediatric diagnostic testing and hearing aid dispensing. Emily also specializes in Cochlear Implants and enjoys being involved with the CI program. She is licensed through the State of Indiana and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Indiana Speech-Language Hearing Association. Emily sees patients in our Kendallville and Auburn clinics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, reading, and volunteering.
Jennifer C. Graber, Au.D., CCC-A
Jennifer received her Associate degree in Psychology as well as her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech & Hearing Science from Purdue University Fort Wayne Campus and earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree (AuD) from Ball State University in May 2009. Dr. Graber has been with Ear, Nose, & Throat Associates’ The Hearing Center since before she graduated from Ball State University. She runs the Angola and Lagrange Indiana clinics and sees patients at the Dupont office in Fort Wayne, IN as well. Dr. Graber is a Limited Term Lecturer at IPFW (Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne). Jennifer has experience in diagnostic evaluations for all ages and focuses on rehabilitation audiology with primarily the adult population. She has developed the Bone-Anchored Hearing Device (BAHA) assessment and fitting protocols at The Hearing Center where she works with both the adult and pediatric populations for BAHA. Jennifer is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
Jillian Hubertz, Au.D., CCC-A
Jillian received her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences and Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees from Purdue University. Dr. Hubertz performs diagnostics and rehabilitation for pediatrics to adults at our Fort Wayne and Warsaw locations. Special interests include pediatric diagnostics and amplification, as she is enrolled as a First Steps provider. She is licensed by the state of Indiana and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. In her free time, she loves spending time with family, friends, and traveling.
Laura L. Johnson, M.A., CCC-A
Laura received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Northern Iowa in 1994. She has practiced audiology in ENT offices since that time in Des Moines, IA, St. Paul, MN, and has been in the Fort Wayne area now for about six years. In her free time she enjoys many activities with her husband and two children and also likes to read, work out and travel.
Sarah Miner, Au.D., CCC-A
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne and she completed her Doctor of Audiology degree at Ball State University. Sarah is currently seeing patients at our Chapel Ridge location, as well as our Van Wert, Ohio location. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and is clinically certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Sarah also teaches undergraduate courses in audiology at IPFW. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends and attending Komet hockey games.
Melanie Offerle, M.A., CCC-A
Melanie Offerle graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science. She then obtained her Master of Arts degree in Audiology at Ball State University. Melanie has been a practicing audiologist for 20 years and thoroughly enjoys assisting those with communicative difficulty. She has seen many changes in the hearing aid industry and loves the new technology. She enjoys hosting Breakfast Seminars at various locations in the community. When not busy at work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 college age children. She enjoys music, reading, fitness, and her large extended family.
Alison M. Schortgen, Au.D., CCC-A
Alison earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Audiology and completed her Doctor of Audiology at Ball State University. Dr. Schortgen primarily specializes in pediatric diagnostic evaluations and amplification along with fitting of hearing aids on adults. She also serves as the Associate Director of The Hearing Center. Dr. Schortgen is a member of the American Academy of Audiology the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Married and the mother young children, Dr. Schortgen spends her free time with her family.
Jenna Szymialis, Au.D., CCC-A
Jenna received her Bachelor of Art degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and her Doctorate of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from Indiana University. Dr. Szymialis does diagnosis evaluations for all ages and rehabilitation for adults. She is licensed in the state of Indiana and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Language and Hearing Association. In her free time she enjoys working out, traveling, spending time with her family and dog, Charlie.
Shelley Zern, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Zern is a licensed audiologist who has been with The Hearing Center/ ENT Associates since 1997. She received her M.A. in Audiology from Ball State University in 1995 and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University in 2009. Her special interests in audiology include cochlear implants and pediatric diagnostics. Dr. Zern is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling with her husband and son.
Madison Ziegel, Au.D., CCC-A
Madison received her Bachelor of Art degree in Communication Disorders from Butler University and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Purdue University. She is licensed in the state of Indiana and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Currently, she sees pediatric through adult patients at our Fort Wayne and Warsaw locations. In her free time, Madison enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Ozzie.
Beth Zimmerman, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Zimmerman has been practicing Audiology for over 25 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University, a Master of Science degree from Purdue University and Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University. Dr. Zimmerman has provided services in numerous settings including hospitals, private practice and non-profit agencies. For the past 16 years, she has been practicing audiology in the otolaryngology setting. Dr. Zimmerman currently serves as the Director of The Hearing Center.
Dr. Zimmerman is licensed in the state of Indiana and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Zimmerman has a wonderful husband and four amazing daughters. She enjoys spending time with God, her family and friends. She also loves animals and reading.
Kelly L. Shafer, H.I.S.
A commitment to better hearing healthcare is one of many values Kelly brings to our practice. He has been serving Wells county and surrounding areas for the past thirty-four years. He enjoys the personal satisfaction of educating and assisting our patients in all of their hearing healthcare needs. He was U.S. NAVY trained, NRMC San Diego, CA and is a member of the International Hearing Society, the Indiana Hearing Aid Alliance and the American Tinnitus Association. In his spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and "the COLTS".
