Emily Bondus, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Emily Bondus received her Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences and Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees from Purdue University. Since graduating with her doctorate in 2008, she has practiced at Ear, Nose, & Throat Associates/The Hearing Center.

Dr. Bondus provides diagnostic audiology services for all ages. She provides diagnostic testing for patients of all ages and specializes in working with hearing rehabilitation in adults. She is a certified Lyric provider. She enjoys giving patients back access to the world they have been missing. Dr. Bondus also specializes in Cochlear Implants and enjoys being involved with our implant program. She is licensed to practice audiology by the State of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She currently sees patients at our Lutheran Medical Park, Apple Glen, and Columbia City offices.

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cheering on her Purdue Boilermakers. She is also involved in the Junior League of Fort Wayne, Bible Study Fellowship, and the Purdue University Alumni Club of Fort Wayne.

Jennifer C. Graber, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Jennifer C. Graber received her Associate degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech & Hearing Science from Purdue University Fort Wayne. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from Ball State University in May 2009. Dr. Graber has been at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates/The Hearing Center for over ten years.

Dr. Graber has experience in diagnostic hearing evaluations for all ages and focuses on rehabilitation audiology for adults. Dr. Graber has been instrumental in developing our Bone-Anchored Hearing Device (BAHA) program and works with patients of all ages. She currently sees patients at our Dupont, Angola and Lagrange offices. Dr. Graber was a Limited Term Lecturer at IPFW (Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne) from 2014-2018.

Dr. Graber is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a member of the Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

In her free time Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

Laura Hunt, Au.D. CCC-A

Dr. Laura Hunt earned her Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Audiology and completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree at Ball State University. She is excited to be working in her hometown of Fort Wayne, where she sees patients at our Dupont, Lutheran, and Warsaw offices.

Dr. Hunt performs comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments and provides aural rehabilitation for pediatric and adult populations. Dr. Hunt is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Hunt is also a participating audiologist for the Hearing Aid Assistance Program of Indiana (HAAPI).

Outside of work Laura enjoys traveling, dancing, and being with friends and family.

Laura L. Johnson, M.A., CCC-A

Originally from the Chicago area, audiologist Laura Johnson has lived and worked in Iowa, Minnesota and now proudly calls Fort Wayne her home for 12 years now. Mrs. Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders and Master of Arts degrees in Audiology from the University of Northern Iowa.

Laura’s audiological passions are comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessment and hearing aid selection, fitting, and follow ups with adults. She is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Laura sees patients at our Apple Glen and Wabash offices.

When not at work, Laura enjoys reading, live music, working out, good food, and having fun with family and friends.

Lindsey Koble, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Lindsey Koble grew up in Garrett, IN and is happy to be back in the area providing hearing healthcare services to those in the surrounding communities. She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University. She then obtained her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

Dr. Koble’s audiological passions are comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessment and adult hearing aid selection, fitting, and programming. Lindsey is certified in tinnitus management by the American Board of Audiology. Dr. Koble is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competance in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Koble is currently seeing patients at our Auburn, Dupont, and Chapel Ridge offices.

Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and family.

Kara Massey, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Kara Massey earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Indiana University in Bloomington. She started practicing audiology at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates/The Hearing Center in 2016. Dr. Massey is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Massey performs diagnostic evaluations for all ages and provides rehabilitation services for adults, including the selection, fitting, and programming of hearing aids. She greatly enjoys assisting those who are struggling to communicate. She currently sees patients at our Apple Glen, Southwest, and Warsaw offices.

In her free time, Kara enjoys cheering on the Hoosiers and spending time with her family, friends, and fiancé.

Sarah Miner, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Sarah Miner received her Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Purdue University’s Fort Wayne campus and earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from Ball State University. Dr. Miner is licensed to practice audiology in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Miner has been an audiologist at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates/The Hearing Center since 2011. She provides diagnostic testing for patients of all ages and provides hearing rehabilitation services for adults. Specifically, she is a certified Lyric provider. Dr. Miner enjoys helping her patients to reconnect with the world around them. She is currently seeing patients at our Dupont and Chapel Ridge offices in Fort Wayne and also at our Van Wert, Ohio office.

Sarah is a Fort Wayne native, volunteer at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, and lifelong Komet Hockey fan. She spends her free time with her husband and their pets and enjoys traveling.

Melanie Offerle, M.A., CCC-A

Melanie Offerle graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science. She then obtained her Master of Arts degree in Audiology at Ball State University. Mrs. Offerle is a Fort Wayne native and has been practicing in the area for over twenty years.

Melanie provides diagnostic services for people of all ages. She specializes in providing rehabilitation services for adults and enjoys assisting those who struggle with communication. She has seen many changes in the hearing aid industry and is always excited sharing new technology with her patients. Melanie is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

When not busy at work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 college age children. She enjoys music, reading, fitness, and her large extended family.

Alison M. Schortgen, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Alison Schortgen earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Audiology Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees at Ball State University. Dr. Schortgen has a personal connection to hearing loss as she and several family members have hearing loss. Her personal experiences with audiologists led her to choose audiology as a career.

Dr. Schortgen has been an audiologist with The Hearing Center since 2008. She specializes in diagnosing and treating hearing loss in children. She also provides rehabilitation services to adults and primarily sees patients at our Dupont office. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Schortgen also serves as the Director of The Hearing Center.

Dr. Schortgen is licensed to practice audiology in Indiana and Ohio. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is also credentialed through First Steps, Indiana’s early intervention program.

In her free time, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and her three school aged daughters. She also enjoys playing softball, reading, and watching her girls in their activities.

Jenna Szymialis, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Jenna Szymialis received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Doctorate of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from Indiana University.

Dr. Szymialis is licensed to practice audiology in Indiana and Ohio. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Szymialis currently provides diagnostic evaluations for all ages and rehabilitation services for adults. She specializes in treating patients with Tinnitus and is also a Lyric provider. She currently sees patients at our Dupont, Chapel Ridge, and Decatur offices.

In her free time, Jenna enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, cycling, and yoga. She also enjoys spending time with her family and dog Charlie.

Elizabeth Williams, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Elizabeth Williams received her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University, and she earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Central Michigan University.

Dr. Williams provides diagnostic testing for patients of all ages and rehabilitation services for adults. She is licensed by the state of Indiana and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Williams currently sees patients at our Lutheran and Huntington offices.

Dr. Williams grew up in Fort Wayne and is excited to be back in her hometown surrounded by her friends and family. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys reading, baking, and playing board games.

Shelley Zern, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Shelley Zern received her Bachelor of Art and Master of Arts degrees in Audiology from Ball State University. She started as an audiologist with Ear, Nose & Throat Associates/The Hearing Center in 1997. She received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in 2009 from Salus University.

Dr. Zern specializes in cochlear implants and provides diagnostic and rehabilitation services to patients of all ages. She started our Cochlear Implant program back in 2007. She also provides pediatric diagnostic services and has worked with area schools as an educational audiologist. Dr. Zern is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Indiana. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

In her free time, Shelley enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling with her husband and son.

Madison Ziegel, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Madison Ziegel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from Butler University, and then earned her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Purdue University. She is licensed in the state of Indiana and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Ziegel specializes in pediatric diagnostic evaluations and amplification, as well as the fitting of hearing aids on adults. Dr. Ziegel also serves as the Associate Director of Audiology for The Hearing Center. She is currently seeing patients at our Dupont Medical Park office and provides diagnostic evaluations at our Bluffton office.

Dr. Ziegel grew up in Fort Wayne and is happy to be back providing hearing healthcare services to our community. In her free time, Madison enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.

Kelly L. Shafer, H.I.S.

Kelly Shaffer has been providing quality hearing healthcare to Bluffton and the surrounding areas for the past 40 years. Mr. Shaffer received his training in evaluating and treating hearing loss thru the United States Navy. He specializes in providing rehabilitation services for adults. Kelly sees patients at our Bluffton office.

Mr. Shaffer is a member of the International Hearing Society, Indiana Hearing Aid Alliance, and the American Tinnitus Association. He is a licensed by the state of Indiana to dispense hearing aids.

In his spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts.
